Pembrokeshire: Tenby

Hey guys! I know I haven't created a report in awhile. I've been busy with module assignments and have only recently turned everything in (and now classes have started up again... ahaha not much of a break), but last weekend I took the time to make the 1.5 hour journey by train from Swansea to the Victorian seaside town of Tenby, in Pembrokeshire, Wales. While it was still a little cold, the sun was shining, so I thought it would be a perfect time to visit. Here's Tenby on the map:

(bottom left corner)

Tenby harbor...

colorful buildings line the streets

priceless views

old school candy shop

a very Victorian promenade...

the shop where the monks from Caldey island sell their stuff

I just loved this sign

This restaurant looked amazing but it was closed for the winter break Sad

kegs of beer stacked outside the restaurant

this was hanging near the old tudor merchant house

Tudor merchant house... one of the older buildings in Tenby

a great bookshop where it was absolutely stocked full of books inside

Crazy! I could barely move in there

I love how this road swoops around

This is where the boats sail for the small island, but they don't run in the winter

gateway to the beach!

beautiful walkway up to the hill where the prince albert statue is

And there he is!

beautiful water...

...a nice stroll on the beach

..a house that looks like candy

Looking out towards St. Catherine's island

streets of downtown Tenby

Sunlight is fading...

A quick pint in the Coach & Horses, Tenby's oldest pub, before I leave

cheeky street art by the station

I waited for the train but it was cancelled due to a part of the line being 'washed away' so they had to send for a minibus to take us to Camarthen
