Solarnet meeting Chile!

[report].cl.cultural events.travelling.[/report]
After a while travelling throught Chile, we finally met our solarnet friend Rodrigo!!!!!!!! So we had an official solarnet meeting with all the members from Chile and 2 german tourists  Wink

In the first place it was a bit difficult, because rodrigo, wo normally lives and studies in beautiful viņa de mar is at the moment at his parents home for holidays.. but htat couldn`t stop us to meet him, so we went to Ovalle, in the north of Chile.
We stayed with our nice host for 2 days, he showed us a cultural festival in the neightbour town, and his ovalle of course!

Rodrigos mother, who is obviously the best cook in chile, perpared wonderful lunch for us

Had some fruits in the backyard afterwars, where this nice long haired dog is running around!! Cheesy

we went to a cultural festival in the next town, wher the national band played and they did traditional dancing

a lot of people where watching!

we had some tasty grilled bread as a snack, i`m sure rodrigo knows the name, i cant remember Cheesy

the view over ovalle. Like in every city here you can find the "plaza de armas" as a central point in the city. Here it was very green, its really nice just to sit there, relax, and watch the childrens play with the water fountains

The City is set in a Valley, wich makes it look like an oasis in the rocky desert

They grow a lot of wine in this region

The towers where they save the water inside, are decorated with traditional art from the people of the antofagasta desert

Thanks vey much for the nice meeting Rodrigo, and pleeease post your mothers empanada rezept into the international cooking forum!! Cheesy
