Solarnet in Ecuador

[report].ec.city life.travelling.[/report]

Here is another report from our never ending world travel, this time from ecuador, where we met eddy alias "erso" in guayaquil!

Guayaquil is with a population of around 3 million people the biggest (and in my opinion also the more importtant city, even before the capital quito) city of ecuador, it handels most of the export and is the most important industrial center.

So our way into ecuador, was from Lima, the capital of Peru, where we had a veery short time, over to guayaquil in a 25 hours bus ride   Roll Eyes  and what is the first you see when coming to ecuador? of course: bananas... and lots of them Cheesy

still a bit tired, we startet to explore guayaquil on the next day

saw some lizards walking around on the plaza in the city center,

a mountain wich is said to offer a nice view over the city, but when arriving there with eddy later on, it was already closen  Angry

the river guayas is a veeeery big one, dominating the image of the city pretty much. Like we learned, just a few years ago, the river ws ehavily polluted, with made the riverside and partly the whole city kind of unattractive for living. Today the side looks quite nice, obviously rich houses standing close by, and we´ve been to a nice place with bars, clubs and parks closeby.
Here on the riverside that you see there is a nice park running along, where we came to meet eddy

and here are the 3 of us

we god guided trought the city. In the white building on the left we got surprisingly shown..

...5 real galapagos turtles ! Cheesy

comin back down from te closed hill, walking throught the historic city

night traffic

and on of many bridges in the city

so after a nice trip in a very cool city, we took some beers (seems as there are some nice places to go for a drink), said bye to our ecuatorian friends and got back to our hotel.
Just dont want to let the report end here, because i want to show you the new bus terminal of guayaqil, wich might be the biggest i`ve ever seen, after taking one of the thousand taxis...

... we came here to see a three floor bus terminal  Grin  our bus was leaving on the uppest, realy crazy !

Thats all, thanks very much to eddy for showing us around, was nice to met you, you`r always welcome at my place in germany Wink !!!!
